Brooklyn College Foundation
Brooklyn College: Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema is New York's first public graduate film school. Meant to make a professional education in cinema more affordable, and therby more accessible, the M.A. in cinema studies and M.F.A. in cinema arts at Feirstein are significantly less expensive than comparable programs. Already, the graduate school is populated by an impressively diverse student body and the institution only opened in 2015. Approximately half of scholars are women and many identify with underrepresented backgrounds.
Brooklyn College Foundation, fiduciary agent of the college, has partnered with Time Warner Foundation to establish the Time Warner Scholars program - breaking down even more barriers to access by reducing the out-of-pocket costs of enrollment for two filmmakers who otherwise could not afford it. The Foundation is proud to support tomorrow's celebrated storytellers.
