Point Foundation (Point) has served the academic and leadership potential of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students since its inception in 2001. The young but successful organization's investment in empowering promising LGBTQ students has produced elected officials, doctors, scientists, filmmakers, authors, lawyers, academic professionals and more among its 326 alumni. Intersectional representation is championed too - 50% of the 2015 Point Scholars Class identifies with underrepresented racial and ethnic groups.
Time Warner Foundation enthusiastically uplifts LGBTQ scholars in partnership with Point Foundation. The Foundation's grant to Point goes to support scholarships, leadership development, and internships. This work is important for creating leaders and for the advancement of the LGBTQ community.
