South Coast Repertory

Southern California theatre company South Coast Repertory (SCR) is driven to engage its diverse community with representative stories.  Through its CrossRoads Commissioning Project, SCR commissions playwrights from diverse and underrepresented communities to immerse themselves in the artistic, cultural, and geographic potluck of Southern California for the inspiration of new works.

With the support of Time Warner Foundation, CrossRoads engages a vast, inclusive set of identities by telling stories as distinct and varied as the members of its community.Recent works commissioned by CrossRoads and revolutionizing the theatrical tradition have included Qui Nyugen’s Vietgone and Aditi Brenan Kapi’s Orange.

Time Warner Foundation is proud to be a part of that community and to support the development of diverse artists for the enrichment of their careers and American theatre.
