RECENT WORK I collaborated on the screenplay Gabacho, the tale of a right wing anti-immigrant U.S. born Latino who is accidentally deported to Mexico and has to cross 'la frontera' not only to get back home but to discover the identity he has tried so hard to deny.
ANY SENSE OF STORYTELLING I HAVE, I gained sitting around the kitchen table growing up. My grandmother gave me a sense of history. My mother, a taste for high melodrama. And always, there was a sense of humor even during the most difficult times.
MY WORK, IN FOUR WORDS: Poetic mirth, gleeful deconstruction.
